I have been working as a carpenter for the last ten years, starting my apprenticeship with the widely known house builder Crest Nicholson in the South West. Gaining experience of my trade in this way gave me a comprehensive view of building a house from the ground to handing over the keys to the client.
Following my three year apprenticeship, for the next six years I worked with a small building company on many refurbishments and extensions of domestic properties. This covered all aspects of the trade from roofing to stud work, architraves, skirting and kitchens, through to the final touches required to bring the projects to completion.
Since setting up my own business in Birmingham, based in a workshop near the Jewellery Quarter, I have been able to produce items off site. This keeps disruption to you as a property holder to a minimum. While I like seeing the result of any project that I undertake, I particularly enjoy making bespoke items to a high standard, ranging from furniture to small cupboards and large wardrobes.
I have the following qualifications and assurances:
- NVQ Level 3 Carpentry
- Valid DBS check
- First Aid at work certificate
- Public liability cover to the value of £2,000,000
